Who we are
“Driven by the constant need of greater cultural exchange and using art as a tool for community identity, Jade Matarazzo brings over twenty years of experience as creator of several international projects. As the founder of Art Brazil, The House of Arts, Expoart Japan and London, Atelier Without Borders and Casa Brasil Miami, Jade always assured these initiatives would focus on cultural, social, and educational components, developing successful partnerships across the United States, Asia, Europe, and South America. Always striving to transcend barriers by using art as a common denominator, Jade brings Brazil to the world not only through young talents but also through projects she develops with established artists such as Yutaka Toyota, Claudio Tozzi, Eduardo Kobra among many others. A trained curator from the Sotheby's Institute, Jade has curated and managed over fifty exhibitions in different locations and countries. She has been an active speaker on inclusion through art at the United Nations forum and has implemented several urban projects such as painting the iconic United Nations facade in New York and the historic tower at the Adrianne Arsht Center in Miami. In 2020 Jade Co-founded Colecta, a printed and digital art magazine dedicated to educating, entertaining and expanding people's knowledge and perceptions on art and culture across the globe with an emphasis on Brazilian artists and special projects.
Jade Matarazzo comes from a legacy of love for all forms of cultural entrepreneurship and pursues diverse artistic paths dedicated to continuing the patronage of her uncle and mentor Ciccillo Matarazzo, founder of the Bienal do Brasil and the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo. As a visual artist and photographer, winner of twenty-two awards, Jade has held over fifteen solo exhibitions in the United States, Europe, and Asia and has her work included in the Morikami Museum in the United States.” — Jade Matarazzo
